The Storm

Before the war begins
View from the world above

Raging clouds were at war, each battling with their own might:

Their swords clashed and blazed as lightening;

Their fearless battle cries were thunder;

They screamed in chaos as the battle went on. 

The world above saw only ravage:

Annihilation of the spiritly beings, strife over vapour and each consuming the other to quell their thirst.

But the world below saw only rain:

Drops of life that seeked to reach dust, that which breathed life into parched soil, the essence of mortality.

But little did the world below know, that the rain was of torment from above.

Little did they know that the rain was tears shed by the clouds over the futility of their war.
